It is important to the MAMUZ to convey knowledge about prehistory, early history and medieval archaeology as vividly as possible. The active involvement of visitors, not only at historical festivals but also during guided tours and workshops, creates an emotional connection to the history and life of our ancestors. Special cultural education programmes through the museum grounds are designed for school classes of all ages, whereby educators can choose between guided tours on specific topics as well as adventure and activity programmes.

All programmes are supervised by expert cultural mediators who complete a series of qualification measures before working at MAMUZ. In addition to content-related workshops on knowledge transfer (learning materials, curator tours, testing interactive workshop content), the selected applicants are also offered seminars on the basics of cultural mediation, constructive conflict resolution, body language and speaking techniques. As guaranteeing high-quality guided tours in terms of both content and form is a central concern of MAMUZ, a comprehensive folder has been compiled as an information and organisation manual in addition to the preparatory training measures, which summarises everything worth knowing about museum operations.
