An excavation box shows how a dig can be imagined, a restoration table shows how a catalogued, restored clay container with an assigned date is created from a pile of shards and researchers’ tables extensively show the processing of metals, woods and botanical finds. Equipped with microscopes and timelines, visitors themselves can also become researchers. Games let visitors find out what type of researcher they are or also if they recognise plants.
A cosy reading corner with many books and also music stations invites visitors to sit and relax in the castle Schloss Asparn.
The researchers’ laboratory can also be booked for school groups. The programme “Archaeology – research and discovery” delights all young researchers.
